MARTHA'S PLACE CELEBRATES ITS FIRST ANNIVERSARY!

This June, QWO will celebrate a monumental accomplishment - the first anniversary of  Martha’s Place!  After eight years, what started as a dream has now become a very successful reality!  In its first year, Martha's Place has enjoyed the following major accomplishments:

• Martha's Place has provided over 7,560 hours of respite care to 60 guests staying for 157 full weekends!
• 63% of all guests return for more than one visit and many of these guests have stayed for eight or more weekends!
• Throughout the year, Martha's Place has remained open for weekend care (Friday 5pm to Sunday 4pm) and will aim to open for weekdays in the next year.
• In a field riddled with high staff turnover rates, Martha's Place has been blessed with outstanding staff members and has enjoyed a 100% retention rate!
• The waiting list for reservations is now close to two months, and some reservations have already been booked as far as December.

What an exciting year for this organization!  As Martha's Place moves forward in this next year, QWO expects this service to grow and continue serving thousands of people in Oregon with developmental disabilities.
