MARTHA'S PLACE OPENED JUNE 7TH!!

June 7th...the long awaited day!  Three guests graced the rooms of Martha’s Place, bringing excitement, smiles, laughter, and life to Oregon's first Bed and Breakfast for people with developmental disabilities (DD).  The next weekend, Martha's Place was bustling with five new guests, and the following weekend, three guests!

Weekend guests said the highlights included nature walks to Cook Park, hand-made pizzas, games of Uno and Monopoly, picnics, craft making, baking cookies, playing air-hockey, going to watch "Scooby-Doo," and most of all, fellowshipping with good friends.

"Our main objective for Martha's Place has always been to touch lives of individuals with DD and to strengthen their families and caregivers.  After a couple of weeks in operation, Martha's Place is exceeding its goals!" says Steve Ristow, Executive Director.  "We couldn't be more happy with the way Martha's Place is operating. . .who knows what God has in store for the future!"
